- 		The 0.45-acre Captain Parker’s Park is located at the northwestern terminus of Trenton Avenue just past the DuPont Avenue/West Shore Boulevard intersection on the west side of South Bass Island. This scenic overlook site is in Put-in-Bay Township.

Captain Alfred Parker, once the skipper of a popular island ferry, served as a Put-in-Bay Township trustee for more than 30 years.

Behind a low wooden barrier preventing farther car/golf cart access, a mowed-grass green space is heavily shaded by deciduous trees. Each tree is surrounded by a planter box which doubles as seating. Along with a picnic table placed near the top of the limestone bluff, the planter boxes allow for views of Green Island and Lake Erie sunsets. For safety, the top of the bluff is lined with a chain-link fence prohibiting water access and signed “No swimming.”		 Location Map:
