- 		Port Clinton City Beach is located on the north side of East Perry Street (State Route 163) between Hayes and Maple streets. The 2,180-foot long beach is a popular swimming location. Residents and visitors enjoy relaxing and playing on the foot-friendly sand which is mixed with shells and shell fragments near the water’s edge.

A few permanent benches and a brick wall which serves as a sand barrier are located north of East Perry Street. Other available amenities are located on the south side of the street at Lakeview City Park.

Lakeview City Park’s recreational facilities, including parking for the park and beach, are located in the park on the south side of the road. Park amenities include a picnic shelter, playgrounds, restrooms and basketball court. A crosswalk with a pedestrian-activated traffic signal allows the public to safely cross the road from the park to the beach during high-traffic summer months.

Adjacent to the west of the city beach is the newly acquired Port Clinton Lakefront Preserve. Waterworks Park is adjacent to and west of the preserve. Ongoing improvements at these three sites were outlined in the city of Port Clinton’s 2000 Comprehensive Coastal Land Area Master Plan which was funded in part by a grant from the Ohio Coastal Management Program.
