- 		The 1-acre Put-in-Bay Aquatic Visitors Center allows face-to-face interaction with live Lake Erie creatures. Housed in a former state fish hatchery, the center’s goal is to provide people an opportunity to bond with Lake Erie. The center has six aquariums filled with Lake Erie fish, microscopes to view plankton and other organisms and hands-on exhibits highlighting Ohio fish species, fisheries management, invasive species, fish anatomy and the old hatchery’s operations.

Adjacent to the west of the Aquatic Visitor's Center is Stone Laboratory’s nearly 1-acre Peach Point Research Facility, a former federal fish hatchery. It is home to the Lab’s summer research program. In 2010, research areas include exotic and threatened species, harmful algal blooms, hypoxic dead zone phenomena and other water quality issues. The building is only open to the public during annual open house events. There is an educational kiosk and an Ohio Historical Marker located on the grounds.		 Location Map:
