PHEASANTS FOREVER OFFERS YOUTH DAY CAMP
Get outside and learn about conservation!!
MIDDLETOWN, OH – A day filled with conservation education and outdoor skills is being offered to youth ages 8-15 years old according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife. Pheasants Forever (PF) will again offer the Ringnecks Youth Day Camp on May 9, 2009. The Middletown Sportsmen’s Club, 6943 Michael Rd., Middletown, Oh 45042, will host the event.
Division of Wildlife staff, members of the Butler County Chapter of PF and the Middletown Sportsmen’s Club will offer hands-on instruction at the event. They will provide conservation education on fish and wildlife ecology, habitat and land stewardship. Firearms safety, archery and fishing will also be offered.
The event will start at 8:00am and conclude at 3:00pm. There is a $25.00 cost for the camp. All meals will be provided. Each participant will also receive a tee-shirt, hat and fishing pole. Campers are asked to wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Other items to bring may include a hat, sunglasses, a dry change of clothes, sun block and bug repellant. Please consider the weather; a lightweight jacket or raincoat may also be appropriate. Please pack all items in one bag and label with name and phone number.
Pheasants Forever is dedicated to the conservation of pheasants, quail and other wildlife through habitat improvements, public awareness, education and land management policies and programs. Working with chapters, members and conservation partners, Pheasants Forever will provide opportunities for youth and their families to be involved in outdoor activities through youth habitat projects, outdoor events and community events/activities.
