OHIO DIVISION OF WILDLIFE TO RECEIVE FIREARMS DONATION
Conservation club helps to support outdoor education
COLUMBUS, OH – The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife will receive a donation of six shotguns from the Southeast Ohio Chapter of Pheasants Forever (SEPF) on Saturday, October 3rd, in Lancaster, Ohio.
The guns, six .20 gauge Remington 1100 shotguns, will be used for youth events hosted by SEPF and for other outdoor education opportunities in Central Ohio.
“The ODNR Division of Wildlife has been our biggest asset in helping educate kids in outdoor education and supporting our annual youth event for the past eight years,” said Brian Love, SEPF president, “and we are happy to be able to provide them with additional equipment for their program.”
The Southeast Ohio Chapter hosts the single largest Pheasants Forever youth event in the country, with 750 kids attending each of the last three years. In eight years they have educated over 3,700 kids in outdoor education.
The donation presentation will be held in conjunction with the 8th Annual Fundraising Banquet of the SEPF at the Moose Lodge in Lancaster, Ohio. For more information please visit their website at http://seohio.pheasantsforever.org.
