NEW CUMBERLAND POOL, JEFFERSON, COLUMBIANA CO. - 13 MI. 1,970 AC.

Channel Catfish - Fishing for channel catfish is good throughout the pool. Fish along the main channel and focus on shorelines near sand and gravel bars. Anglers are catching fish in the 16-18" size range. June and July are good months to fish. Try using chicken liver and night crawlers.  OUTLOOK - GOOD

White Bass - Fish near warmwater discharges and stream confluences. Fish will be in the 8-10" size range with some up to 14". April, May, and June are good months to fish. Jigs, minnows, and small spinners are good baits to use.  OUTLOOK - FAIR

Flathead Catfish - Stream confluences and areas near the New Cumberland dam are good areas to fish. April, May, and July are good times to fish for flatheads. Try using live bait such as chubs and small sunfish.  OUTLOOK - GOOD

Sauger - Fish near warmwater discharges and stream confluences. Fishing is usually best in the winter and on into April and May. Anglers are catching fish in the 9-16" size range. Try using twister tail jigs and minnows.  OUTLOOK - EXCELLENT

Spotted Bass - Fish in deep water with woody cover nearby along the main channel shoreline. Fish average around 12" in length. Try using crankbaits and jig/pork combinations.  OUTLOOK - FAIR

Hybrid Striped Bass - Stream confluences in the upper pool are good areas to fish. Fish will be in the 14-22" size range with some weighing up to 8 lbs. Use spoons, spinners, and twister tail jigs. May, June, and August are the best months to fish.  OUTLOOK - GOOD

Crappie/Sunfish - Most crappie and sunfish are caught in embayments in April and May. Crappie will be in the 10-14" size range and sunfish will be in the 5-7" size range. Jigs and minnows suspended under a bobber are good baits to use as well as waxworms and redworms.  OUTLOOK - FAIR

Smallmouth Bass - Smallmouth bass fishing is best in the upper pool. Rocky shorelines along the main river channel and stream confluences are good areas to fish. Most fish will be in the 10-16" size range. Small jigs and minnows are good baits to use. OUTLOOK-GOOD-EXCELLENT 

 

PIKE ISLAND POOL, BELMONT, JEFFERSON CO. - 30 MI. 4,604 AC.

Channel Catfish - New Cumberland tailwaters, warmwater discharges, and stream confluences are good areas to fish. Channel catfish up to 25" can be caught. Use chicken liver and night crawlers.  OUTLOOK - EXCELLENT

Sauger - Warmwater discharges and the New Cumberland tailwaters are good areas to fish. Most fish are caught in the winter and on into April and May. Most fish will be in the 9-16" size range with some up to 20".  OUTLOOK - EXCELLENT

Walleye - Walleye fishing is best in the upper pool near the New Cumberland tailwaters and near stream confluences. Some fish are also caught downstream near the Pike Island Dam. April and May are the best months to fish. Most fish will be in the 9-15" size range with some up to 25". Jigs and minnows are good baits to use.  OUTLOOK - GOOD

Smallmouth Bass - Smallmouth bass fishing is good throughout the pool. Fish near rocky shorelines along the main river channel, warm water discharges, below the New Cumberland Dam, and around rocky areas associated with the islands. May and June are good months to fish. Most fish will be in the 10-15" size range. Small jigs, night crawlers, and minnows are good baits to use.  OUTLOOK - EXCELLENT

Hybrid Striped Bass - Fishing for hybrid striped bass is better in the upper half of the pool.  Warm water discharges in this area as well as stream confluences and below the New Cumberland tailwaters are good areas to fish. Most fish will be in the 10-17" size range. May, June, and August are good months to fish. Spoons, rattling type crankbaits, pencil type topwaters, and minnows are good baits to use.  OUTLOOK - GOOD

White Bass - White bass are caught in the same general areas as hybrid striped bass. April, May, and August are good months to fish. Most fish will be in the 8-12" size range with some up to 18". Small jigs, spinners, and minnows are good baits to use.  OUTLOOK - EXCELLENT

Largemouth Bass - Fishing is good in embayments, near stream confluences, and around some of the islands. Cover along the main river shoreline is a good spot to fish also. Bass will be in the 9-13" size range with some up to 18". April, May, June, and July are good months to fish. Try using spinner baits and jig/pork combinations.  OUTLOOK - FAIR

Flathead Catfish - Try fishing near warmwater discharges and below the New Cumberland tailwaters. Flatheads will average around 14" in length with some up to 25". April, May, and July are good months to fish. Try using live bait such as creek chubs or small sunfish.  OUTLOOK - GOOD

Crappie/Sunfish - Embayments and warmwater discharges are good areas to fish. Crappie will average around 11" in length and sunfish will average around 6" in length. April and May are good months to fish for crappie and April, June, and July are good months to fish for sunfish. Try using jigs, minnows, and waxworms.  OUTLOOK - FAIR

Spotted Bass - Look for deep water near the main river channel with deep water nearby. Rocky shorelines along the main river channel are good areas also. Fish will average around 12" in length. May, June, and July are good months to fish. Try using jigs, spinners, and crankbaits.  OUTLOOK - FAIR

HANNIBAL POOL, MONROE, BELMONT CO. - 42 MI. 5,844 AC.

Smallmouth Bass - The best fishing for smallmouth occurs in the upper pool. Look for rocky areas along the main river channel shoreline and around some of the islands. Stream confluences are good areas to fish also. Most fish will be in the 10-13" size range. June, July, and August are good months to fish. Try using crankbaits, spinner baits, and small jigs.  OUTLOOK - EXCELLENT

Hybrid Striped Bass - Stream confluences and warm water discharges in the upper 2/3 of the pool are good areas to try as well as the Pike Island tailwaters. Most fish will be in the 14-18" size range with some up to 27". April, May, and September are good months to fish. Small spoons, jigs tipped with sassy shad and spinner baits work well here.  OUTLOOK - GOOD

White Bass - Fish the upper pool in the same areas as hybrid striped bass. May, June, and July are good months to fish. Most fish will be in the 8-10" size range. Spinners and small jigs are good baits to use.  OUTLOOK - EXCELLENT

Flathead Catfish - Fishing is good near warmwater discharges and below the Pike Island tailwaters. Flatheads will average around 19" with some up to 30". June and July are good months to fish. Try using live bait such as chubs or small sunfish.  OUTLOOK - GOOD

Crappie/Sunfish - Fish near stream confluences, warmwater discharges, and in embayments. Crappie will average around 14" in length and sunfish will be in the 6-8" size range. April and May are good months to fish for crappie and April, May, and June are good months to fish for sunfish. Try using minnows and waxworms.  OUTLOOK - FAIR/GOOD

Sauger - Stream confluences in the upper pool as well as the Pike Island tailwaters are good areas to fish. Most fish will be in the 8-14" size range with some sauger up to 16-19". Fishing for sauger is good April through June and starts back up again in November –December. Small twister tail jigs and minnows are good baits to use.  OUTLOOK - EXCELLENT

Walleye - Fishing for walleye is best in the upper pool near the Pike Island tailwaters. Stream confluences are good also. Most fish will be in the 12-14" size range. April, June, and October are good months to fish. Small twister tail jigs are good baits to use for catching walleye.  OUTLOOK - GOOD

Channel Catfish - Fishing for channel catfish is good throughout the pool. Warmwater discharges, along the main channel shoreline, and the Pike Island tailwaters are good areas to fish. Most fish will be in the 16-26" size range. June, July, and August are good months to fish. Try chicken liver, night crawlers, and gizzard shad.  OUTLOOK - GOOD

Largemouth Bass - Woody cover as well as weedbeds along the main river channel shoreline and embayments in the middle and lower reaches of the pool are good areas to catch largemouth. Most fish will be in the 12-16" size range. Fish up to 6 lbs. have been caught in this pool. May, June, and July are good months to fish. Try using spinner baits, jig/pork combinations, crankbaits, and rubber worms.  OUTLOOK - GOOD

Spotted Bass - Rocky main river channel shorelines with deep water nearby in the middle and lower pool are good areas to fish. Most spotted bass will average around 12" in length. May, June, and July are good months to fish. Try using small jigs, rubber worms, and crankbaits.  OUTLOOK - FAIR

 

WILLOW ISLAND POOL, WASHINGTON, MONROE CO. - 36 MI. 5,453 AC.

Largemouth Bass - Weedbeds or woody cover along the main river shoreline, woody cover around some of the islands, and embayments are good areas to fish.  Catches are generally higher in the lower pool. Most fish will be in the 14-16" size range. May, August, and September are good months to fish. Try using spinner baits, crankbaits, and rubber worms.  OUTLOOK - GOOD

Spotted Bass - Fish near weedbeds along the main river channel shoreline, in embayments, and near stream confluences. Most fish will be in the 10-15" size range. May, August, and September are good months to fish. Try using crankbaits, surface baits, and rubber worms.  OUTLOOK - FAIR

Smallmouth Bass - Most fish are caught in the upper pool. Try fishing near main channel shoreline and island areas with rocky habitat. Gravel bars and the end of the lockwall near the Hannibal tailwaters are good areas to fish as well as stream confluences. Most fish will be in the 10-14" size range. May, June, and September are good months to fish. Try using small jigs, minnows, and crayfish.  OUTLOOK - GOOD

Channel Catfish - Fishing for channel catfish is good throughout the pool. Stream confluences, warmwater discharges, old lock and dam sites along the main river channel and the Hannibal tailwaters are all good areas to fish. Most fish will be in the 15-25" size range. June, July, and August are good months to fish. Try using chicken liver and night crawlers.  OUTLOOK - GOOD

Crappie/Sunfish - Fishing for both crappie and sunfish is good throughout the pool. Embayments and island backwaters with cover are good areas to catch fish. Crappies will be in the 10-15" size range and sunfish will be in the 7-9" size range. April, May, and June are good months to fish for crappie and June, July, and August are good months to fish for sunfish. Try using minnows, small spinners, and red worms.  OUTLOOK - GOOD

Sauger - Fishing for sauger is good in the upper reaches of the pool. Best angling success is near warmwater discharges and below the Hannibal tailwaters. Sauger will average around 13-14" in length. November, December, April, and May are good months to fish. Try using small jigs and minnows.  OUTLOOK - EXCELLENT

Walleye - Fish near stream confluences, warmwater discharges, and along rocky main channel shorelines. Fish will be in the 12-16" size range. April and May are good times to fish. Try using small jigs and minnows.  OUTLOOK - GOOD

White Bass - Fishing for white bass is good throughout the pool. Wing dams along the main river channel shoreline, warmwater discharges, stream confluences, and the Hannibal tailwaters are good areas to fish. Most fish will be in the 10-12" size range. April, May, and June are good months to fish. Try using jigs, minnows, and spinners.  OUTLOOK - GOOD

Hybrid Striped Bass - Most fish are caught in the upper end of the pool. The Hannibal tailwaters, island backchannel areas, and old lock and dam sites along the main river channel are good areas to fish. Most fish will be in the 14-21" size range. April, June, and July are good months to fish. Try using chicken liver, pencil type topwater baits, and jigs.  OUTLOOK - GOOD

Flathead Catfish - Stream confluences and the Hannibal tailwaters are good areas to fish for flatheads. Fish will average around 20" in length. June, July, and August are good months to fish. Try using cut bait, gizzard shad, and small sunfish for bait.  OUTLOOK - GOOD

Spotted Bass - Fishing is good for spotted bass in embayments and near stream confluences. Fish will be in the 10-16" size range. May, August, and September are good months to fish. Try using spinner baits and jigs.  OUTLOOK - FAIR

 

BELLEVILLE POOL, MEIGS, ATHENS, WASHINGTON CO. - 41 MI. 7,153 AC.

Channel Catfish - Fishing for channel catfish is good throughout the pool. Stream and river confluences, old lock and dam sites along the main river channel, warmwater discharges, and the Willow Island tailwaters are good areas to try. Most fish will be in the 15-25" size range. June, July, and August are good months to fish. Try using chicken liver, night crawlers, and cut gizzard shad.  OUTLOOK - GOOD

Flathead Catfish - The Willow Island tailwaters and the Muskingum River confluence near the Lafayette Hotel are good areas to fish. Most flatheads will be in the 25-33" size range. June and July are good months to fish. Try using cut bluegill or whole large gold fish while tight-lining. OUTLOOK - GOOD

Crappie/Sunfish - Most fish are caught in the lower end of the pool. Try fishing in embayments and in island backchannel areas with cover. Crappie will average around 11" with some up to 15" and sunfish will average around 6" in length. April, May, and October are good months to fish for crappie and May and June are good months to fish for sunfish. Try using minnows, small jigs, and redworms.  OUTLOOK - FAIR

Largemouth Bass - The middle and lower sections of the pool are better for largemouth bass fishing. Embayments and weedbeds along the main river channel shoreline are good areas to fish. Most fish will be in the 10-20" size range. May, June, and July are good months to fish. Try using spinner baits, jig/pork combinations, crankbaits, and rubber worms.  OUTLOOK - GOOD

Smallmouth Bass - Fish near stream and river confluences, rocky main channel shorelines, and gravel bars adjacent to stream confluences. Anglers are catching fish up to 14" in length. May, June, and July are good months to fish. Try using buzz baits, spinner baits, and jigs.  OUTLOOK - FAIR

Spotted Bass - Fish near river and stream confluences. Anglers are catching fish in the 10-14" size range. Fishing for spotted bass is good in July, September, and October. Spinner baits, jigs, and rubber worms are good baits to use.  OUTLOOK - FAIR

Hybrid Striped Bass - The best fishing areas for Hybrid striped bass are in the upper pool. Angler success has been most effective at Willow Island tailwater and near the Lafayette Hotel at the Muskingum River confluence. Try fishing near the Willow Island tailwaters and near stream and river confluences. Most fish will be in the 16-23" size range with some weighing up to 9 lbs. April, May, and June are good months to fish. Try using chicken liver, gizzard shad, and pencil type topwater baits.  OUTLOOK - GOOD

White Bass - Fishing is good for white bass throughout the pool. White bass are generally located in the same areas as hybrid striped bass. Most fish will be in the 9-12" size range. April, May, and June are good months to fish. Try using small jigs and spinners.  OUTLOOK - GOOD

Sauger - Most fish are caught in the upper half of the pool. Stream and river confluences (i.e., Hocking River) and the Willow Island tailwaters are good areas to fish as well as deep water near some of the islands. Most fish will be in the 9-16" size range. April, May, November, and December are good months to fish. Try using minnows and small jigs.  OUTLOOK -EXCELLENT

Smallmouth Bass - Look for rocky areas along the main river channel shoreline and below the Willow Island tailwaters. Fish will be in the 12-16" size range. May, June, and July are good months to fish. Jigs and minnows are good baits to use.  OUTLOOK - FAIR

 

RACINE POOL, MEIGS CO. - 34 MI. 4,896 AC.

Channel Catfish - Fishing for channel catfish is good throughout the pool. Stream confluences, warmwater discharges, old lock and dam sites, and the Belleville tailwaters are all good places to fish. Most fish will be in the 15-28" size range. May, June, and July are good months to fish. Try using chicken liver, night crawlers, and cutbaits.  OUTLOOK - GOOD

Flathead Catfish - Stream confluences, old lock and dam sites, and the Belleville tailwaters are good areas to fish. Most flatheads will average around 20" in length. May, June, and July are good months to fish. Live bait, such as large chubs or small sunfish are good for catching flatheads.  OUTLOOK - GOOD

Crappie/Sunfish - Brushy cover in embayments and stream confluences are good areas to catch crappie and sunfish. Most crappie will be in the 8-12" size range and sunfish will be in the 6-8" size range. May, June, and July are good months to fish for both crappie and sunfish. Try using minnows, small jigs, and waxworms.  OUTLOOK - GOOD

Hybrid Striped Bass - Most fish are caught in the upper pool. Try fishing near stream confluences, old lock and dam sites along the main river channel, and below the Belleville tailwaters. Fish will be in the 12-20" size range. April, May, and June are good months to fish. Small spoons and twistertail jigs are good lures to use.  OUTLOOK - GOOD

White Bass - Most fish will be around 10-14" in length in hybrid striped bass habitat. April, May, and June are good months to fish. Use small jigs, spinners, and minnows.  OUTLOOK - GOOD

Sauger - Most fish are caught in the upper pool. Old lock and dam sites along the main river shoreline, stream confluences, and the Belleville tailwaters are good areas to fish. Most sauger will be in the 8-14" size range. Fishing is good starting in November and continuing on into May and June. Try using twister tail jigs and minnows.  OUTLOOK - EXCELLENT

Walleye - Most fish are caught in the upper pool. Best success is if you fish near stream confluences and below the Belleville tailwaters. Walleye will be in the 12-16" size range. April, May, and June are good months to fish. Minnows and twister tail jigs are good baits to use.  OUTLOOK - FAIR

Smallmouth Bass - Fish near rocky areas along the main river channel shoreline and near stream confluences. Smallmouth will average around 12" in length. May, June, and July are good months to fish. Try using spinner baits, crankbaits, and jigs.  OUTLOOK - FAIR

 

R. C. BYRD POOL, GALLIA, MEIGS CO. - 42 MI. 6,400 AC.

Channel Catfish - Fishing for channel catfish is good throughout the pool. Warmwater discharges, stream confluences, and below the Racine tailwaters are good areas to fish. Most fish will range from 8-24" in length. April, May, and June are good months to fish. Try using cut bait, gizzard shad, and night crawlers.  OUTLOOK - GOOD

Flathead Catfish - Warmwater discharges and the Racine tailwaters are good areas to fish for flatheads.  Most fish will average around 15-17 "in length with some up to 30". May, June, and July are good months to fish. The preferred live bait would include large chubs, suckers, and small sunfish. OUTLOOK - GOOD

Largemouth Bass - Most largemouth bass are caught in the middle and lower pool. Try fishing in embayments, near stream confluences, and near warmwater discharges. Fish will average around 12-13" with some up to 16" in length. June, July, and August are good months to fish. GREENUP POOL, GALLIA, LAWRENCE, SCIOTO CO. - 62 MI. 11,200 AC.

Channel Catfish - Channel catfish are caught in good numbers throughout the pool. Old lock and dam sites along the main river shoreline and stream confluences are good areas to fish as well as the RC Byrd tailwaters. Most fish will be in the 12-25" size range. May, June, and July are good months to fish. Try using chicken liver, catalpa worms, and night crawlers.  OUTLOOK - EXCELLENT

Flathead Catfish - The RC Byrd tailwaters and old lock and dam sites are good areas to fish. Flatheads will average around 17-20" in length. May, June, and July are good months to fish. Try using live bait such as chubs and small sunfish.  OUTLOOK - GOOD

Crappie/Sunfish - Crappie and sunfish can be caught throughout the pool in embayments and near stream confluences. Crappie will be in the 8-10" size range and sunfish will be in the 6-7" size range. Sauger - Most fish are caught in the upper pool and range from 12-16”. Warmwater discharges, stream confluences, and the RC Byrd tailwaters are good areas to fish. Fishing for sauger is good April through July and starts back up again in November. Try using twistertail jigs and river shiners. Shiners can be caught with cast nets retrieved against the concrete fishing platform.  OUTLOOK - EXCELLENT

 Walleye - Try fishing near stream confluences, old lock and dam sites, and below the RC Byrd tailwaters. Most fish will average around 12" in length with some up to 25”. April, May, and June are good months to fish. Small jigs and minnows are good baits to use.  OUTLOOK - FAIR

 

MELDAHL POOL, CLERMONT, BROWN, ADAMS, SCIOTO CO. - 95 MI. 21,700 AC.

This lock and dam and associated hydroelectric plant have a high risk status under the recent security guidelines issued by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), meaning that public access could be restricted when the security risk level increases. The angler access is maintained by hydroelectric plant personnel as part of their FERC license.    

Channel Catfish - Good numbers of channel catfish are caught throughout the pool. Focus your effort near gravel and sand bars, stream confluences, and below the Greenup tailwaters. Fish will be in the 18-23" size range. May, June, and August are good months to fish. Try using shad and chubs fished on the bottom.  OUTLOOK - GOOD

Flathead Catfish - Fish near stream confluences, rocky shorelines, and below the Greenup tailwaters. Most fish will be in the 16-38" size range. June and July are good months to fish. Try using live bait such as gizzard shad, chubs, or small sunfish.  OUTLOOK - GOOD

Crappie/Sunfish - Fish near rocky shorelines along the main river channel and in embayments. Crappie will be in the 5-11" size range and sunfish will average around 6" in length. May, September, and October are good months to fish for crappie and May, June, and August are good months to fish for sunfish. Try using minnows, small spinners, and waxworms.  OUTLOOK - FAIR

Largemouth Bass - Most largemouth bass are caught in the lower half of the pool. Fishing is good in embayments, near stream confluences, and near weedbeds along the main river channel shoreline. Fish will average around 12-14". May, June, and July are good months to fish. Try using buzzbaits, spinner baits, and rubber worms.  OUTLOOK - FAIR

Smallmouth Bass - Smallmouth bass can be caught near rocky shorelines along the main river channel, gravel bars, and around bridge abutments in the middle and lower sections of the pool. The Greenup tailwaters are a good area to fish also. Most fish will be in the 11-14" size range. May and June are good months to fish. Try using rattling type crankbaits and jigs tipped with minnows. OUTLOOK - FAIR

Sauger - Most sauger are caught in the upper pool near islands and bars adjacent to stream confluences, stream confluences themselves, warmwater discharges, and at the Greenup tailwaters. Fish will be in the 9-16" size range. Fishing for sauger is good April through July and starts back up again in November. Try using twistertail jigs and river shiners. Shiners can be caught with cast nets retrieved against the concrete fishing platform.  OUTLOOK - EXCELLENT

Walleye - Fish near river and stream confluences and warmwater discharges, and near bridge abutments. Fish will be in the 16-20" size range with some up to 5 lbs. April, May, and June are good times to fish. Jigging spoons and small jigs are good baits to use.  OUTLOOK - FAIR

White Bass - Fish near gravel bars associated with stream confluences, warmwater discharges, and the Greenup tailwaters. Most fish will be in the 8-14" size range. May and June are good months to fish. Try using minnows and small spinners.  OUTLOOK - GOOD

Striped Bass - Fish near stream confluences and warmwater discharges. Most fish will be in the 18
           
24" size range. May and October are good months to fish. Skipjack herring and pencil type
            topwater baits work well. Striped bass have been stocked annually by the Kentucky Dept. of
            Fish and Wildlife Resources since 1975.  OUTLOOK - FAIR

Hybrid Striped Bass - Fish in the same areas as white bass. Most fish will be in the 8-20" size range with some up to 9 pounds. May, June, and July are good months to fish with fishing picking up again in September. Try casting along the dam wall and hold shad on the bottom with a 1 oz. sinker and a 15-20 lb line leader.  One successful rig is a bobber with a 3 ft. leader baited with 8” white rattlesnake artificial baits retrieved in a jerky fashion. OUTLOOK - EXCELLENT

Spotted Bass - Focus your effort along the main river channel shoreline in deep water with woody cover. Most fish will be around 12-13" in length. May and June are good months to fish. Try using jigs, spinner baits, and buzzbaits.  OUTLOOK - FAIR

Channel Catfish - Fishing for channel catfish is good throughout the pool. Warmwater discharges, stream and river confluences, and the Meldahl tailwaters are good areas to fish. Most fish will be in the 15-26" size range. May, July, and August are good months to fish. Try using chicken liver, cut bait, and night crawlers.  OUTLOOK - GOOD

Flathead Catfish - Fish along rocky main channel shorelines, near warmwater discharges, and below the Meldahl tailwaters. Most fish will be in the 10-24" size range. May, June, and August are good months to fish. Use live bait such as chubs, gizzard shad, and small sunfish.  OUTLOOK - GOOD

Crappie/Sunfish - Crappie and sunfish can be caught in embayments, near warmwater discharges, along rocky main channel shorelines, and near stream confluences. Most crappie will be in the 6-14" size range and most sunfish will be in the 6-8" size range. Fishing is good for both crappie and sunfish May through August. Try using small jigs, spinners, minnows, and waxworms.  OUTLOOK - GOOD

Most fish will be in the 14-16" size range with some bass up to 22" in length. May, August, and September are good months to fish. Smallmouth Bass - Smallmouth bass can be caught near rocky shorelines along the main river channel, near bridge abutments, and near stream confluences. Most fish will be in the 12-15" size range. Sauger - Most sauger are caught in the upper pool near the Meldahl tailwaters. Gravel bars adjacent to stream confluences and warmwater discharges are good areas to fish also. Most fish will be in the 10-16" size range. Fishing for sauger is good November through April. Try using minnows and small jigs.  OUTLOOK - EXCELLENT

Hybrid Striped Bass - Fish near stream confluences, warmwater discharges, and below the Meldahl tailwaters. Most fish will be in the 15-24" size range. May, June, and August are good months to fish. Try using minnows, small jigs, and crankbaits.  OUTLOOK - GOOD

White Bass - White bass can be caught in the same areas as hybrid striped bass. Most fish will be in the 9-13" size range. May, June, and September are good months to fish. Try using small jigs, minnows, and spinners.  OUTLOOK - FAIR

Striped Bass - Striped bass can be caught trolling and casting near stream confluences and trolling near drop-offs in the main river channel. They can also be caught below the Meldahl tailwaters. Most fish will be in the 12-23" size range with some up to 15 lbs. Crankbaits are good for trolling, live bait such as skipjack herring and gizzard shad can be good to use as well as pencil type topwater baits.  OUTLOOK – FAIR
