AKRON, OH – The ODNR Division of Wildlife will hold a public drawing for controlled waterfowl daily hunting permits on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 for portions of Killbuck Marsh Wildlife Area. The drawing will be held at the Valley College Grange, 2411 Shreve Road in Wooster. Valley College Grange is located south of Wooster on State Route 226, 0.1 mile south of State Route 3.

The awards were received from the Association for Conservation Information (ACI) at the organization's annual conference last week in Nashville, Tennessee. MINERVA, OH – Minerva Cheese factory accidentally released whey, a milky substance, into Sandy Creek between Minerva and Malvern, which temporarily depleted oxygen levels and killed over 5,400 fish according to the ODNR Division of Wildlife. The accident occurred on June 14th and affected a 1.5 mile stretch downstream from the Minerva Wastewater Treatment Plant.
