Magee Marsh Wildlife Area Addition
FINDLAY, OH – The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR), Division of Wildlife would like to remind the public that the former Crane Creek State Park is now part of Magee Marsh Wildlife Area. Last year the state park was transferred to the Ohio Division of Wildlife.
The area is open to the public for wildlife observation and fishing. Magee Marsh Wildlife Area was recently ranked as a top 10 best-birding location in the United States by two national birding magazines. It has also been named an Audubon Important Bird Area.
Swimming is no longer allowed. Options would include nearby Maumee Bay State Park and East Harbor State Park. The latrines have been removed, as have the picnic tables, grills, etc. Portable toilets are provided.
Magee Marsh Wildlife Area is located at 13229 W. State Route 2, Oak Harbor, Ohio 43449.
