Wildlife Officer Brian Goldick Promoted
XENIA, OH – Former Preble County Wildlife Officer Brian Goldick was recently promoted to Wildlife Officer Supervisor according to the ODNR Division of Wildlife.
Officer Goldick will begin his duties of supervising the wildlife officers in nine southwest Ohio counties June 7, 2009. The counties include Auglaize, Butler, Clark, Darke, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Preble and Shelby. He will be responsible for coordinating his team of officers on wildlife law enforcement projects, fisheries and wildlife surveys, providing assistance to private landowners, organizing presentations and assistance to conservation clubs and public conservation events, and much more.
“Officer Goldick’s 20 years of experience in natural resources field has prepared him very well for this position, and will enable him to be an effective leader. I am confident he will continue to serve Ohioans well in his new position,” said Todd Haines, Division of Wildlife District 5 Manager in southwest Ohio.
A native of Southwestern Ohio, Officer Goldick was born in Cincinnati and graduated from LaSalle High School in 1985. Goldick graduated from Hocking College in 1987 with an Associates degree in Recreation and Wildlife Management emphasizing Wildlife Management. Officer Goldick worked for the Hamilton County Park District for 10 years in their Land Management department. He was accepted into the Wildlife Officer Cadet Academy in September of 1998. After graduating in March of 1999 Officer Goldick was assigned to Preble County where he has remained until being promoted to Wildlife Officer Supervisor.
