American Electric Power and Ohio Division of Wildlife Fishing for Feedback
Angler input will enhance fishing opportunities on the ReCreation Lands
McConnelsville, OH - The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife is teaming up with American Electric Power (AEP) to conduct an angler survey at the AEP ReCreation Lands located in Morgan County.
The post card-style survey will take place throughout the 2009 fishing season. Participation is voluntary – anglers wishing to take part in the survey will be asked questions about the length of time fished, what were the species fished for, and how many fish were caught.
The survey cards can be found at eight locations throughout the AEP ReCreation Area: Miner’s Memorial Park, Windy Hill, Hook Lake, Sand Hollow, Sawmill Road, Woodgrove, Bicentennial, and the Twin Lakes areas. Once completed, surveys can be deposited in the nearby drop box or mailed (postage paid) to the Division of Wildlife.
The information provided by anglers will be used to enhance fishing opportunities at the AEP ReCreation Lands. The AEP ReCreation Lands region covers approximately 30,000 acres, features more than 350 lakes and ponds, and nearly 380 camp sites. AEP recreational users must obtain a free permit (available through www.aep.com or 1800-WILDLIFE) prior to using any AEP public lands.
