Xenia, OH –State Wildlife Officer Reid Van Cleve began his assignment to Hamilton County effective June 21, 2009 according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife.
Van Cleve is a graduate of the 2007 Wildlife Officer academy. He is the former Monroe County officer in southeast Ohio. Officer Van Cleve, a native of Evansville, IN, is a 1998 graduate of Vincennes University with an associates degree in Conservation Law Enforcement.
As a state wildlife officer, Van Cleve will be responsible for enforcing wildlife laws on public lands as well as private lands and providing assistance to other law enforcement agencies as needed. He will also assist other Division of Wildlife professionals in a variety of projects as assigned and continue to receive additional resource training during his career.
After his graduation from the Wildlife Officer academy in 2007 Van Cleve said, "This has been a lifelong dream for me. I am very excited to come to Ohio and work for the Division of Wildlife”.
