AKRON, OH –  Kenneth Fry, IV of Akron, Ohio has been promoted to Outdoor Skills Specialist, according the Ohio Division of Wildlife.  He has replaced Reno “Jay” Reda, the former outdoor skills program coordinator for District Three.

In his new position as one of the Division of Wildlife's five Outdoor Skills Specialists, Fry will be responsible for planning, developing, and conducting outdoor education programs on hunting, fishing, and trapping.  He will also provide preliminary contact with hunter education instructors and conservation organizations, coordinate programs in northeast Ohio such as Ohio’s Hunter Education Course and Instructor Academy, National Archery in the Schools and Passport to Fishing.

Fry graduated from The College of Wooster in 2005 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. Following graduation, he began working for the Ohio Division of Wildlife in the fish management section and furthered his career as a Fish Management Technician until his recent promotion to Outdoor Skills Specialist.

“Ken is a welcome addition to our Information and Education section,” said Jeff Herrick, District Three Manager. “He is a talented, energetic young man who will interact well with the public throughout northeast Ohio.”
