New State Wildlife Officer Assigned to Tuscarawas County

AKRON, OH – Wade Dunlap has been assigned as the new state wildlife officer for Tuscarawas County, according to the Ohio Division of Wildlife. Officer Dunlap’s assignment follows the recent retirement of long-time wildlife officer John Suchora.

“Wade has been a welcome addition to the Division of Wildlife since the day he came on board. He has developed an excellent relationship working with conservation clubs and sportsmen and women during service in Ashtabula County. I am confident that he will do very well in Tuscarawas County,” added Division of Wildlife District Three Manager Jeff Herrick.

Dunlap is a 1998 graduate of Hocking College and earned an Associate Degree in Fish and Wildlife Management.  Before training to become a wildlife officer and graduating from the 2003 academy, he was employed as a wildlife specialist at the Harrison County Soil and Water Conservation District. Dunlap served as the Ashtabula County wildlife officer from July 2005 to September 2009.
