Free “Growing Up WILD” Workshop For Educators To Be Held July 10th
Medina County Park District to host workshop at Wolf Creek Environmental Center
Sharon Center, OH – Both formal and non-formal educators who work with children ages three to seven are invited to attend a Growing Up WILD workshop in Medina County on Saturday, July 10th. The workshop, which will be facilitated by ODNR Division of Wildlife personnel, will be held at the Wolf Creek Environmental Center in Sharon Center from 9:00am-2:00pm.
Growing Up WILD is an early childhood education program that builds on children’s sense of wonder about nature and invites them to explore wildlife and the world around them. Workshop participants will take home an easy-to-use book containing nearly 30 field-tested activities focusing on wildlife and nature. These activities blend social, emotional, physical, language, and cognitive skills to help foster learning and are correlated to the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) Standards and the Head Start Domains.
There is no fee for the workshop but registration is required by calling the Medina County Park District at 330.722.9364. Registration is open until July 8. Please bring your own brown bag lunch.
