OHIO DIVISION OF WILDLIFE RECEIVES DONATION
All Terrain Vehicle to be used in Fairfield County
COLUMBUS, OH – The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife recently received a donation of an All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) from the Southeast Ohio Chapter of Pheasants Forever (SEPF) in Lancaster, Ohio. The ATV will be used primarily in Fairfield County.
The ATV is a 2009 Polaris 500 Sportsman edition. It was slightly used with only 45 miles logged. Last fall the same SEPF Chapter donated six youth shotguns to be used for outdoor education in central Ohio.
The Southeast Ohio Chapter hosts the single largest Pheasants Forever youth event in the country, with 750 kids attending each of the last three years. In eight years they have educated over 3,700 kids in outdoor education.
The 2010 youth event was held on Saturday, April 10th. For more information please visit their website at http://seohio.pheasantsforever.org.
