Parking Lot Repair Will Temporarily Close a Caesar Creek Lake Boat Ramp
Improvements will benefit boaters and anglers
WAYNESVILLE, OH- Boaters and anglers who frequent Caesar Creek Lake in Warren and Clinton Counties will need to find an alternative launch site in early August according to the ODNR Division of Wildlife. The boat ramp parking lot located on Young Rd. (formerly called the Haines Rd. ramp) will be closed for short term repairs.
Doug Maloney, Fisheries Management Supervisor, stated that no repairs will be made to the ramps and the closure is necessary to allow work crews to pave the parking area. The current gravel parking lot has pot holes making it a rough approach to the ramp. Maloney said “the improvements are necessary and once completed boaters and anglers will find launching boats at the ramp a much smoother experience.”
The Young Rd. ramp will be closed beginning Monday, August 2 and repairs are scheduled to conclude on Friday August 6, 2010. The project is being completed by the Ohio Department of Transportation, ODOT. Boaters and anglers will need to find an alternative launch site during this time period. Ramps closest to the Young Rd. location can be found at the beach area off of St. Rt. 73 and also at the campground on Center Rd. Those choosing to launch from the campground are subject to an entrance fee during this time of year.
