New Wildlife Officer Assigned to Wayne County
WO Jason Warren Akron, OH –
Former Summit CountyWildlife Officer Jason Warren was recently assigned as the new Wayne County Wildlife Officer, according to the ODNR Division of Wildlife. Wildlife Officer Warren’s new assignment follows former Wayne County Wildlife Officer Eric Ucker’s retirement on September 30, 2010.
“Jason is a very friendly and approachable wildlife officer who will serve the citizens of Wayne County well on all wildlife-related programs, while enforcing fish and wildlife regulations to conserve our wildlife resources,” said Doug Miller, district manager for Division of Wildlife in northeast Ohio.
“I always wanted to be a wildlife officer. One of my favorite parts of the job is working with sportsmen and women; it’s inspiring to hear their stories of outdoor adventures, recruitment of youngsters, and making new friends who also enjoy the outdoors,” explained Warren. “While I will miss working with the residents of Summit County, I look forward to building new relationships in Wayne County,” said Warren.
Wildlife Officer Warren is a native of Perry, Ohio in Lake County and a 2006 graduate of Hocking College. He holds an Associate Degree in wildlife management.
Wildlife Officer Warren can be reached by calling Wildlife District Three in Akron at (330) 245-3046.
