Rowan Promoted to Law Enforcement Supervisor In Northeast Ohio

AKRON, OH –Lake County Wildlife Officer Thomas Rowan has been promoted to Law Enforcement Supervisor for the ODNR Division of Wildlife’s District Three. The district covers 19 counties throughout northeast Ohio. Rowan succeeds Doug Miller who was recently promoted to District Manager.
“Tom has a thorough understanding of the Division of Wildlife’s mission and how all the branches of our agency interact and operate,” said Doug Miller, District Three Manager. “He also has the leadership qualities necessary for supervising a law enforcement section that has to cover a region with 43 percent of the state’s population.”
As the district’s Law Enforcement Supervisor, Rowan will coordinate all law enforcement programs and projects for the district.
“I’m looking forward to the challenge; it’s a great opportunity,” said Rowan, a 15-year Division of Wildlife veteran.
A native of Fairport Harbor, Ohio, Rowan obtained an Associate Degree in Natural Resources Technology from Lake Superior State University. Following graduation, Rowan served 10 years with Chardon Police Department before joining the Division of Wildlife in 1996.
