Registration Still Open For Quail Management Workshops
Free workshops provide information on Bobwhite Quail Management
XENIA, OH–The Ohio Department of Natural Resources-Division of Wildlife, along with Pheasants Forever (PF), U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), The Ohio State University Extension (OSU), and the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) are hosting quail management workshops in several counties. The Workshops are free and open to the public.
If you are interested in learning about Bobwhite Quail, wildlife habitat management or cropland conservation programs, then attending a quail management workshop is for you.
Speakers will present topics on quail biology and habitat requirements, Ohio’s quail relocation program, local OSU quail research project, funding resources for habitat restoration and more. Snacks or meals, and drinks will be provided.

Saturday, February 12th, Darke, Miami, & Shelby Counties
10am–2pm, Piqua Fish & Game Club, 9344 N. Spiker Rd., Piqua, OH
Saturday, February 19th, Butler, Montgomery, Preble & Warren Counties
10am–2pm Hueston Woods State Park, 6301 Park Office Rd., College Corner, OH
Wednesday, February 23rd, Clark, Greene & Warren Counties
two sessions 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm, Young’s Dairy Farm Golden Jersey Inn, 6880 Springfield-Xenia Rd., Yellow Springs, OH
Tuesday, March 1st, Fayette, Pickaway & Ross Counties
5pm-7:30pm, Ross county Service Center, 475 Western Ave., Chillicothe, OH
Saturday, March 5th, Brown, Clinton, Highland & Warren Counties

Warren County residents should choose the workshop that works best for their home residence and schedule. You may attend a workshop in a county other than your residence as well. All workshops will be covering the same topics. Take home materials will be provided. Saturday workshops will include a short afternoon fieldtrip to a quail management area.
