Waterfowl Symposium

The League of Ohio Sportsmen, Ducks Unlimited and Lake Erie Waterfowlers will be holding a Waterfowl Symposium on March 26, 2011 beginning at 9:00AM. The symposium will be held at the Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center in Oak Harbor, Ohio. The address is 14000 West State Route 2, Oak Harbor, Ohio 43449.
There will be speakers from the Division of Wildlife, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Ducks Unlimited’s Great Lakes Atlantic Regional Office in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Topics to be covered are Wetland Restoration Projects in Ohio which have been completed and those underway. Where the money for the projects comes from and partners for those projects.
Improvements at Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge and co-operation with Ohio Division of Wildlife in the area of permit hunting on the refuge for ducks and geese.
Results of the 2010-2011 Waterfowl seasons in Ohio and what can be expected for the 2011-2012 season, such as zones and possible changes for the coming year.
There is no charge for attending the symposium and coffee and donuts will be provided.
The symposium will begin at 9:00AM and last till about noon.
