MAGEE MARSH WILDLIFE AREA TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE
Oak Harbor, - Road Access beyond the Sportsmen’s Migratory Bird Center located at the Magee Marsh Wildlife Area will be closed during the waterfowl season. This is the area along the wildlife area road leading to the beach area including the boardwalk and beach trails.
This portion of Magee Marsh wildlife area will be closed in order to provide a quality hunting experience for Ohio’s sportsmen and women.
This road closure is in effect starting at sunset October 10, 2011 through 12:00 noon on October 29, 2011 and from sunset November 11, 2010 through 12:00 noon December 3, 2010. Additionally, the road and beach area will be closed during the controlled youth deer hunts scheduled on Saturday & Sunday November 19 & 20, 2011.
The remaining Saturdays and Sundays during this time period hunters, anglers and wildlife viewers will be permitted access to the beach area and wildlife trails starting Saturdays from 12:00 noon until sunset and sunrise to sunset on Sunday.
The Sportsmen’s Migratory Bird Center and bird center walking trail will remain open for wildlife viewing during the fall hunting season.
