Auglaize County Deer Hunter’s Workshop October 25th
Prepare Your Trophy for the Wall and the Freezer

WAPAKONETA, OH - The Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife in conjunction with the Ohio State University Extension Office in Auglaize County and the Auglaize County 4-H Shooting Sports are hosting a Deer Hunter Workshop on Thursday, October 25, 2012. Pre-registration is required. 

There is no fee for the workshop but participants are asked to pre-register by October 19, 2012. Please call the Ohio State University Extension Office in Auglaize County at 419-739-6580 to register. This event is being held at the Jr. Fair Building, 1001 Fairview Drive, Wapakoneta, Ohio 45895.  The event starts at 5:30 and will conclude by 9:30.  A lite dinner of venison sandwiches will be served.

 Presentations will include speakers from Pheasants Forever, Treestand Manufactures of America, Kah Meats and the OSU Extension Office. County Wildlife Officer Matt Hoehn with the Division of Wildlife will discuss wildlife issues, and laws and regulations for the upcoming season.  A demonstration on field dressing, preparing venison for the freezer and the table, and skinning and butchering will be presented after the meal.
