FREE FISHING DAYS YOUTH EVENT TO BE HELD AT MADISON LAKE
LONDON, OH – Area youths are invited to fish at Madison Lake on Saturday, May 3, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. as part Ohio’s Free Fishing Days weekend, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife.
London State Fish Hatchery will stock 500 to 800 rainbow trout in a designated portion of Madison Lake, in the east side of the state park. Division of Wildlife staff will be on hand to assist young anglers in successfully landing fish.
Participating youths need to bring their own fishing poles and bait. Bait will not be available on-site. No fishing licenses are required during Ohio’s Free Fishing Days, May 3 and 4, 2008.
The daily bag limit is five trout per angler. At all times other than Free Fishing Days, anglers 16 years of age and older must have an Ohio fishing license. The annual resident license costs $19.00. A one-day fishing license costs $11.00.
