XENIA, OH – The Miami County chapter of Pheasants Forever along with the, Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife will hold the sixth annual John D. Stull Memorial Youth-Mentor pheasant hunt on February  7, 2009.   The hunt will take place from 9:00am – 4pm on the Stull Preserve, 7670 E. Widener Rd., New Carlisle, Ohio 45344. Participants will have a fun-filled day of hunter education, sporting clays, and bird hunting. After the hunt, the youth will have the opportunity to take part in a demonstration on field dressing and preparing their harvest.     
Youth hunters must pre-register by contacting Rob Blakey at robblakey@woh.rr.com  or they can go to the Miami County PF site at www.miamicountypf.org . Youth that have pre-registered and are selected will be contacted prior to the hunt. Each youth will be given a list of items they will need to bring to participate in the hunt. The event is free and food and drinks will be provided.  A limit of 50 youth has been set for this event. 
Youth hunters must have a valid 2008-2009 Ohio hunting license.  Participants must be between 10-15 years of age. All youth must be accompanied by a non-hunting adult. Only one non-hunting adult will be permitted in the field.
