Public Employees Recognition Week
M
ay 7-13

On the occasion of “Public Service Recognition Week” – May 7 through the 13, 2001

Governor Bob Taft has designated May 7 through 13 as Public Service Recognition Week in Ohio, a time to celebrate the commitment, hard work, and special contributions made by public employees throughout the year.

ODNR employees are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of all Ohioans. We have a vital influence on the way our fellow Ohioans work, live and play. Our work, as individuals and as an agency -- and through the many aspects of ODNR's mission -- helps to shape the quality and productivity of Ohio's natural world.

Since 1985, the first full week in May has been set aside as a time to teach our friends, family, and neighbors about the broad variety of services provided by state employees.

We make daily contributions to our communities, the citizens of Ohio, and visitors from other places. Through technical assistance, grants, education, and regulation, the employees of ODNR work in many ways so our friends, family, and neighbors can enjoy Ohio's great natural resources.

Thanks to their commitment, Ohio’s outdoor world is a better, more enjoyable place to be.
