Yellow Creek State Forest Public Hunting, Access and Visitor Information
Yellow Creek State Forest is located in Columbiana County, in the vicinity of Salineville and adjoining the Highlandtown Wildlife Area. The 756-acre forest is open to day use visitors, and public hunting is permitted under the Division of Wildlife regulations.

Visitors and hunters are reminded to be especially respectful of neighboring private property, as only portions of the State Forest boundaries are identified on the ground with yellow paint blazes and signs. The forest is comprised of three separate parcels. The only accesses to the two northern tracts of Yellow Creek State Forest are through the Highlandtown Wildlife Area. The southern-most tract of the forest may be accessed off Temme Road.

The forest has no developed trails or facilities, but provides opportunities for mushroom hunters, berry pickers, photographers, hunters and adventurous hikers to pursue their interests.
