Landowner Assistance
Creating a woodland depends on your wants and needs, and the condition and capability of the woodland as it exists.

Service Foresters are uniquely qualified by training and experience to help landowners decide what can and should be done to develop woodlands for wildlife habitat/viewing, timber production, rare species habitat, hunting, or recreation.

Ohio has over 20 Service Foresters statewide that work one-on-one with woodland owners, providing management plans, technical assistance and information on tree planting projects, woodland improvement activities, and timber marketing assistance.
