Community Technical Assistance Forestry Contact Drew Todd, 614-265-6707. Organizational and technical assistance offered to communities to help develop comprehensive tree care programs. Service delivered by six urban forests located throughout the state.
4H/Vo-Ag Seedling Program Forestry Contact Tom Berger, 614-265-6706. Seedlings offered at reduced prices to kids involved in 4-H or Vo-Ag programs. Each child receives 200 seedlings for home or local planting projects.
Mead Corporation Cooperative Free Seedling Program Forestry Contact Tom Berger, 614-265-6706. White pine seedlings offered free to landowners in 33 southern Ohio counties to promote tree planting. Landowners must plant at least 3,000 trees.
Northwest Ohio Windbreak Forestry Contact Gregg Maxfield, 419-424-5004. Cooperative windbreak planting program in 17 northwest Ohio counties for "turn-key" tree planting services to encourage private landowners to develop farmstead wind-breaks. Partnership program with Division of Wildlife, Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) and Soil and Water Conservation Districts (SWCDs).
Ohio's Big Trees Forestry Contact Tom Berger, 614-265-6706. Identification and cataloguing of the largest specimens of trees in the state. In cooperation with the Ohio Forestry Association.
Reforestation Mineral Resources Contact John Sprouse, 740-439-9079. Establish trees on acid spoils of unreclaimed or marginally reclaimed land.
Seedling Sales Forestry Contact Tom Berger, 614-265-6706. Growing and selling 5-6 million tree seedlings per year to landowners and land managers in Ohio for conservation and reforestation efforts.
Tree City USA Forestry Contact Drew Todd, 614-265-6707. Administration of program recognizing communities making a commitment to the long-term care of urban forest resources. Program in cooperation with National Arbor Day Foundation.
Seed Collection Forestry Contact Tom Berger, 614-265-6706. Annual collection of tree seeds to be used for seedling production at state forest nurseries.
