Lake Erie-scale Maps

A selection of maps and graphics used in the Ohio Coastal Atlas Project and a variety of other sources are avalialbe to download below as PDF files. Maps created by the Office of Coastal Management are scaled to print on 11x17 paper. Your printer settings can be adjusted to print the maps on other standard paper sizes.

This map illustrates the locations within Ohio's portion of Lake Erie that are determined favorable and unfavorable for wind turbine placement. The analysis is based on multiple factors including shipping lanes, distance from shore, fish habitat, sport and commercial fishery effort, lakebed substrates, important bird areas, proximity of raptor nests and additional data.
