		A comprehensive community planning document for the Big Creek Watershed will be developed. The document will include a gap analysis of information that is necessary for the completion of a future State Endorsed Watershed Action Plan. The information will help guide watershed communities in storm water management, riparian buffer establishment, and stream and wetland restoration and mitigation.

		This study will examine the possibility of reconstructing a fishing pier at Euclid Beach State Park which was a major focus point in the state park during its prior use as an amusement park. A conceptual pier design will be developed that takes into consideration a geotechnical assessment. A cost estimate will also be provided.

		A watershed management plan will be developed that will provide a systematic approach for communities to mange development, critical natural areas, and economic competitiveness. A watershed planning partnership will be assembled and a Chippewa Creek data inventory and GIS will be developed along with selection and evaluation criteria for the designation of priority development and conservation areas. A watershed planning partnership agreement will be established and the selection criteria will be implemented to identify priority areas.

		The purpose of this project is to determine the needs and methods to address coastal nonpoint pollution and examine the restoration alternatives, feasibility, costs, and application within the lower Euclid Creek sub-watershed.

		This study will help the City of Cleveland develop alternatives that will allow the public to safely access the site and enjoy the flora and fauna.  Information to be developed includes answering the environmental risk and other existing site condition questions, determining the environmentally sensitive flora and fauna, and providing cost estimates for various public access alternatives.

		This project will accomplish the design and engineering for the construction of 1.5 miles of a 2.5 mile all purpose trail.  This first phase is part of a conservation greenway that will link the Cuyahoga River, Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail, the Mill Creek Falls Trail and Garfield Park Reservation.

		This project is to acquire five conservation easements totaling 17.4 acres in the Village of Brooklyn Heights along the Cuyahoga River.  This acquisition will protect the riparian corridor, eliminate the threat of hillside erosion, and enable natural resource restoration.

		A study will be produced that incorporates a community dialog process along with an existing conditions assessment, a detailed rehabilitation program including cost estimates, and renderings of the future building use.  The goal is to determine what is necessary to rehabilitate the former Station to an acceptable health and safety standard for use as an education center open to the public.

		This project will coordinate the Phase 2 Planning and Feasibility studies in the Lower Big Creek watershed, maintain a stakeholder Project Advisory Team, and continue to engage the public in plan development.  The Phase 2 studies are: A) Land Use Planning; B) Business Retention, Infrastructure Improvements, and Economic Development; C) Recreational Trails- Alignment and Design Study; D) Transportation Assessment; E) Hillside Subsidence Planning; and F) Coordinated Code Enforcement.

		Develop GIS-based maps that contain information on habitats located in watershed tributaries.  These maps will then be used to assist in modeling the effects of upstream land-use changes and effects of non-point source pollution on downstream and coastal area fish productivity.

		Acquisition of two areas totaling 23 acres.  This will link and expand the present 180-acre West Creek Preserve.  A stream restoration implementation plan will be prepared, identifying a stream restoration program and funding opportunities.  The plan will be implemented improving 1200 linear feet of stream, providing habitat restoration and enhancement, and erosion abatement.

		NOACA is collaborating with the City of Cleveland to complete the first of three phases in a comprehensive planning effort for the Lower Big Creek watershed.  This first phase will identify issues on stream recovery, streamside land uses, transportation, and community development elements. An initial problem assessment and strategic goals statement will be completed to guide Phase 2 planning.
