TUFTED TITMOUSE

Tufted Titmouse (Parus bicolor)

Permanent resident.

A common associate of the Carolina chickadee, titmice inhabit the same habitats and are frequent residents along riparian corridors.

Titmice are of the common and characteristic species found along wooded riparian corridors in Ohio.

Along Big Darby, titmice showed a strong preference for those wooded corridors in excess of 25 feet chickadees frequently forage together in mixed groups. Titmice are one wide on each bank.
