Free Publications

Firewise Ohio will gladly furnish fire departments and interest groups with brochures, handouts, and educational materials, free of charge, to disseminate throughout their communities and protection districts. These materials are available to any fire company or interest group, statewide.

Literature available contains excellent information about

  • wildfire safety
  • tips on defensible space and ways to decrease risk
  • Firewise principles

Education is key. This is a great chance to increase awareness, increase knowledge, and increase safety in your area. For maximum success in the Firewise Ohio program, it is essential to involve local fire suppression agencies and community interest groups. Local FDs and interest groups have the unique opportunity to make contact and work closely with many citizens in the area. They can make a positive difference.
