Ohio Certified Prescribed Fire Manager Program

The initial phase of this program is presently being implemented. The Division of Forestry will certify individuals who meet the requirements of the Certified Prescribed Fire Manager program as developed by the steering group. Since May 2002, individuals or agencies requesting the Chief of the Division of Forestry to waive ORC 1503.18 (6 am to 6 pm burn ban) must be Certified Prescribed Fire Managers.
