Upright Norway Maple - Acer buergeranum 'Erectum'
Lyndhurst (Cleveland Area) Planted: Unknown
1268 Churchill Site: 10' Tree Lawn

1971 Comments:
The trees are uniform and formal in shape. The latter might be aesthetically objectionable in this informal residential area.

1997 Comments:
Most of the plants in the original study location survived. Some sidewalk disruption is present. Replacements have been made in the area. Twig extension growth on the plants is six inches or better. Habit has broadened with age as many upright cultivars tend to do.

Sixteen percent of the overall planting survived (8 of 20 trees).
1997 data on the table are based on four trees.
