1971 Comments:
The trees are pyramidal, uniform in habit, and look attractive on this residential street with a narrow tree lawn. The trees normally produce a heavy crop of seeds that is sometimes objectionable.

1997 Comments:
Only a few of these trees survived the test of time and they are declining. The sidewalk replacement in the area was probably not due to the trees.
Nine percent of the overall planting survived (5 of 53 trees).
