Sycamore Maple - Acer pseudoplatanus
Toledo Planted: 1957
3228 Radford Site: 12' Tree Lawn

1971 Comments:
The trees are upright spreading and well suited to the wide tree lawn and deep setback of the homes. There are no utility lines overhead and the trees provide a good appearance for the entire area.

1997 Comments:
The overall survival of this planting is high, but the remaining plants are showing decline. This plant is native to northern Europe where summers are much cooler. The wider tree lawn may have contributed to the high survival rate in this particular situation.

Eight-five percent of the overall planting survived (22 of 26 trees).
1997 data on the table are based on five trees.
