1971 Comments:
The plants are upright spreading and well established. Because of seedling origin, there is considerable variation in size and shape. This is a good illustration of why vegetatively propagated clones of trees should be used for a more unified appearance.

1997 Comments:
Originally planted in a 6-foot tree lawn; now reduced to 3-1/2 feet. All the trees were removed during this process. Zero percent of the overall planting survived (0 of 20 trees).
