Armstrong Red Maple - Acer rubrum 'Armstrong'
Wooster Planted: 1963
331 Blessing Site: 4' Tree Lawn

1971 Comments:
The trees are of typical columnar habit and are growing very well. This is an excellent choice for the narow tree lawn with a shallow setback of the adjoining houses.

1997 Comments:
Plants are in good condition and growing well despite the small tree lawn. Some sidewalk disruption was noted. This plant is now considered a Freeman Maple which is a red-silver hybrid.

Sixty-eight percent of the overall planting survived (13 of 19 trees).
1997 data on the table are based on four trees.
