Littleleaf Linden - Tilia cordata
Shaker Heights (Cleveland Area) Planted: Unknown
23500 S. Woodland Site: 29' Tree Lawn

1971 Comments:
These trees are uniform in size and shape and provide an attractive setting for the deep setback homes. The tree lawn is very wide. The trees are located on the sidewalk side and not under power lines. Because of the deep setback and open areas, a larger tree might have been a better selection.

These plants are in huge 29'-wide tree lawns. Trees are growing well with twig extension of 12" per year common. Some cosmetic problems such as aphids and sooty mold are present. The area has a sandstone walkway on sand that has been reworked in a number of areas. None of the sidewalk damage appears to be the result of the trees which are planted about 6' away from the walk.

Ninety-seven percent of the overall planting survived (72 of 78 trees).
1997 data on the table are for four trees.
