The Energy Resources Group of the Ohio Geological Survey investigates the subsurface geology of Ohio and its relationship to petroleum. The Energy Resources Group also conducts basic research on injection of hazardous waste into the subsurface and on earthquakes in Ohio. The Energy Resources Group also oversees computerization of the Survey and the development and management of the Survey's Geographic Information Systems.
