STRUCTURE CONTOUR MAP ON THE PRECAMBRIAN UNCONFORMITY SURFACE IN OHIO AND RELATED BASEMENT FEATURES by Mark T. Baranoski
More than 30 years have elapsed since the Ohio Division of Geological Survey last published a statewide interpretation of the Precambrian unconformity surface. A large number of wells have been drilled to the Precambrian since that time, and revolutionary discoveries have changed geologists' understanding of this ancient terrain. This report presents structural data currently available for the Precambrian surface in Ohio, and the map shows the interpreted Precambrian unconformity surface.
The 1:500,000-scale (about 8 miles to the inch) color map and 18-page report can be downloaded for free in Adobe's Portable Document Format (PDF). A print-on-demand copy of the map and report may be
purchased from the Survey for $10.00 plus applicable tax and handling. The map and report also are
available on CD-ROM for the same price.
