OIL AND GAS WELL RECORDS

More than 275,000 records (unverified drillers' logs) for wells drilled in the state are available for consultation in the Geologic Records Center of the Survey. These record cards show such well information, when known, as location, classification, land owner, operator, formation tops, and initial production. Copies of these records may be purchased for external use at 15 cents per card side. Well records should be ordered by county, township, lot or section, and permit number.
