Enjoy Fall and Halloween Festivities at Alum Creek State Park
Fall Festival in Campground is Open to Public


DELAWARE, OH - The annual fall festival at Alum Creek State Park is scheduled for October 3 and 4, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. The family friendly festival offers activities and entertainment for park visitors of all ages.
 
The weekend agenda includes a costume contest, campsite and pumpkin decorating, free boat rides, games and activities for children. All events take place in the state park campground located off of Old State Road, approximately seven miles southeast of Delaware.
 
The festival is free and open to the public. Although activities take place in the campground, participants are not required to camp at the park.
 
Events will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, October 3, and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, October 4. For details on the festival events, call (740) 548-4631.
 
Alum Creek State Park features more than 60 miles of trails that accommodate hikers, mountain bikers and horseback riders. Pets on leashes are permitted on most trails, and Alum Creek also offers a fenced dog park and beach. Fishing, swimming and boating with no limits on horsepower are permitted on the 3,387-acre lake. Boat rentals are available. The park's campground offers 289 sites with electrical hookups. Campsites may be reserved by calling 1-866-OHIOPARKS or online at www.ohiostateparks.org.
