ODNR Backs Grocers' Efforts to Make Plastic Bag Recycling Simple

 
COLUMBUS OH - In recognition of Earth Week, a time when Ohioans will celebrate the earth's resources and discuss environmental issues and solutions, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) will help announce the launch of a statewide campaign to simplify plastic bag recycling.
 
The Ohio Grocers Association (OGA) recently coordinated the Plastic Bag Recycling Program. Through the program, OGA provides recycling bins to its retail members. In turn, the stores collect plastic from consumers, as well as their own pallets and shrink-wrap. The program was developed in partnership with ODNR and major wholesalers.
