07/24/09 Ottawa County resident Chad German has been named area supervisor for boating programs in northwest Ohio.


Ottawa County Resident Named Area State Boating Administrator for Northwest Ohio

COLUMBUS, OH – Ottawa County resident Chad German has been named area supervisor for boating programs in northwest Ohio, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Watercraft. He assumes his new duties August 2 as supervisor of the watercraft agency’s Maumee Bay area office.
German first joined the ODNR Division of Watercraft in 2000 as a state watercraft officer and was assigned to the Sandusky office. He then was assigned to the Division’s Maumee Bay office from 2003 through 2005, and again reassigned to the Sandusky office in 2006.
 
German is a graduate of Delphos St. John’s High School and Hocking College where he received a degree in fish and wildlife management.
 
In his position as supervisor of the Division’s Maumee Bay area office in Lucas County, German will be responsible for coordinating law enforcement, boating education programs and public relations efforts in northwest Ohio. He also will supervise watercraft patrol operations on northwest Ohio waterways such as Lake Erie and the Maumee River.
