ODNR to host grand opening of Exploration Station Nature Center

 
CLEVELAND , OH – The public is invited to attend the grand opening of the Exploration Station at Cleveland Lakefront State Park on Friday, June 18 at 7 p.m. according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR).
 
This new hands-on nature center focuses on Lake Erie themes and is housed within the state park office building. In addition to displays and exhibits provided by Ohio State Parks, outside organizations have contributed to the new activity area, including Cargill, Euclid Beach Park Now, Friends of Edgewater Park, the Lake Kleenerz and the ODNR Division of Watercraft.
 
Local artist Christine Siarka will be kicking off the center’s seasonal art exhibit with her photo collection, Precious Lake Erie: Beauty at our doorstep.  Another special guest, Capt N’Willie, the Great Lakes Pirate who is a local edu-tainer, will be promoting fun learning about Lake Erie. Refreshments will be provided by Interstate Safety & Service.
