Scioto County Resident Named To Ohio Waterways Safety Council
COLUMBUS, OH – Danny Mullins, of Sciotoville, was recently appointed by Governor Ted Strickland to serve on the Ohio Waterways Safety Council. He will be filling the unexpired term of Jane Harf, who resigned in January. Mullins’ term is set to expire January 31, 2012, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR), Division of Watercraft.
Mullins is employed by the U.S. Enrichment Corporation as an operations section supervisor. An active bass fisherman, Mullins has served as president of the River Valley Bass Club. Since 2005 he has been a board member and regional director of the Ohio Bass Federation. He also is a past member of the Sciotoville Community School Board and is a graduate of Portsmouth East High School and Franklin University in Columbus.
Mullins is joined on the Ohio Waterways Safety Council by Chairman J. Thomas Pascoe, of Sandusky, and fellow members, Chad Taylor of Wilmington, John Onacila, Jr., of Cleveland and Douglas Mclarnan of Gambier. The five-member citizen advisory council, appointed by the governor, provides input on boating issues to the ODNR Division of Watercraft.
