Lake Katharine State Nature Preserve in Jackson County will be closed to the public on November 29 through December 1 due to special controlled deer hunts.
Lake Katharine State Nature Preserve To Close November 29 – December 1 During Controlled Hunts
JACKSON, OHIO—According to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR), Division of Natural Areas and Preserves, Lake Katharine State Nature Preserve in Jackson County will be closed to the public on November 29 through December 1 due to special controlled deer hunts.
These hunts are being held in cooperation with ODNR’s Division of Wildlife. Special permits were awarded through a lottery drawing held earlier this fall. There are no more permits available.
