The Ohio Waterways Safety Council will hold its quarterly meeting from 12 to 5 p.m. on January 19 in the Duke Energy Center in downtown Cincinnati.
COLUMBUS, OH – The Ohio Waterways Safety Council will hold its quarterly meeting from 12 to 5 p.m.on January 19 in the Duke Energy Center in downtown Cincinnati, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR). The meeting coincides with the Cincinnati Travel, Sports and Boat Show also being held there.

The five-member citizen advisory council, appointed by the Governor, provides input on boating issues to ODNR’s Division of Watercraft. Council members also are provided a briefing by the Division of Watercraft on the status of ongoing projects and issues impacting recreational boating in Ohio.

The meeting is open to the public. Persons interested in attending the council meeting should contact Janet Turner in the Division of Watercraft’s Columbus office at (614) 265-6476.

The ODNR Division of Watercraft administers Ohio’s boating programs. The agency oversees watercraft registration and titling operations, provides funding to local communities for education, enforcement and boating access facilities, educates the public, and enforces boating laws on Ohio’s waterways.
