COLUMBUS, OH – David Mustine, Director of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR), has appointed Glen Cobb to Deputy Director of Recreation and Resource Management.

Currently serving as the Field Support Group Manager for Ohio State Parks, Cobb will assume his new duties on January 19.

“With 25 years of natural resource management experience, Glen brings a wealth of knowledge and professional enthusiasm to this key leadership position,” said Director Mustine. “An avid outdoorsman, he is a man of high integrity who believes in teamwork and results—attributes which will serve the department well in his new role.”

As Deputy Director, Cobb will oversee ODNR’s divisions of Forestry, Natural Areas and Preserves, Parks and Recreation, Watercraft and Wildlife.

Cobb began his career with ODNR’s Division of Parks and Recreation in 1984 and spent four years as an administrative assistant until 1988 when he was promoted to Assistant District Supervisor for northwest Ohio. Cobb supervised operations at 16 state parks until 1991 when he became the park manager for Grand Lake St. Marys State Park. He assumed his current Ohio State Park management position in 1999.
